DESCRIPTION:  
We had to scan this coin with a black background because the luster coming off of the coin's surface literally washed out the images with bright light.  Peace Dollars from the San Francisco Mint are noted for weakness of strike, but this bright white example is an exception with a very nice strike for the series.  Miss Liberty's cheek is free from the commonly found bagmarks or distractions, and her flowing hair curls are almost in full detail/relief.  The eagle's back feathers are in very good detail to include his (or her) right leg feathers being discernable.  It is very difficult to find Peace Dollars in this state of preservation, and it is an example certainly worth considering for acquisition.  It is also a Date / Mintmark that has had modest appreciation over the last 5 years, and is hardly overvalued.
